Prednisone Tab 10mg

I have had problems with my feet and legs swelling for over 10 years. Recently, I was placed on Prednisone by the doctor for possible RA. The fluid retention in my feet and legs have gone down considerably. I know that this is not the normal side effect taking this medication. Could you possibly tell me the ingredient that could be causing this? I have tried other fluid retention medication and nothing seems to work, but I'm not comfortable taking the Prednisone for a long period of time to solve the fluid retention problem.

There are no other active ingredients, it is Prednisone, which is a steroid class medication. So, I do understand your concern about taking it for a long period of time, that can be very dangerous.

What type of diet do you normally eat? There are some things, such as sodium, that can cause that type of fluid retention.

Are you on any other medications?
