I was prescribed two 20 mg of pednisone tablets per day for five days because of a stubborn allergy and sinus infection. I took both of the pills at 9 am this morning to start with because I normally suffer from several nights a week of insomnia anyway.To try to prevent any more sleep problems by adding these pills in, I decided to take them both in the morning hoping the nervousness that they cause would subside enough so by bedtime, about 11 pm, I can sleep. Is this ok to do it this way ? If not, why not ? Thanks

No, unless your doctor has given you some specific reason not to do so, it is just fine to take them like that. Many people, to try to stave off the various side effects that FDA lists that could include nervousness, and insomnia.
Are you on any other medications? Has there been any change to your condition, yet?
