Prednisone And Methadone Interaction

I am on methadone and my doctor put me on 50mg of prednisone and I have only been on it for two days but every time I take it my legs and back start to hurt really bad and I start to feel like.mu methadone isn't working at all could it be because I am.on a big MG of prednisone

Prednisone can reduce the efficacy of Methadone, so that likely explains the problem. Is this doctor aware that you're on Methadone?

Other typical side effects of Prednisone may also include nausea, headache, insomnia, irritability and acne.

Methadone is classified as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I take oral methadone for pain management and recently had to take prednisone in a med pack. I took a urinalysis and it showed no methadone. Is this because of the steroid med pack?
