Prednisone And Ciprofloxacn

My doctor just prescribed two drugs for two different conditions, prednisone for severe poison ivy and ciprofloxacn for a urinary infection. After doing a bit of research, it is my understanding that prednisone should not be taken when there is an infection. Should I take them both? (Prednisone dosage: 5mg each tablet; 10 tablets daily for 2 days, reducing to 9/2days; 8/2days; 6/2days; 4/2days; 2/2days; 1/2days. Cipro dosage: 500 mg; 1 tablet twice daily for 14 days)

You shouldn't take it if you have an active fungal infection that you are taking oral medications for, and it can make it easier for you to develop an infection, but it is fine to take if you're doctor has prescribed it for you, and is monitoring your condition regularly.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Prednisone as possibly including nausea, dizziness, accelerate heart rate, headache, nervousness, and insomnia.

Is there anything I can help with?
