Prednisone 25mg

If I get symptom relief after one 25 mg tablet ;do I still need to step down the dosage or can I stop after 1 tablet

You should follow your doctors instructions. Just because symptoms went away, that doesn't mean that problem has resolved, yet, so you may end up right back where you started, if you don't finish the medication.

There can also be serious complications stopping a steroid suddenly.
