Prednisone, 13 Mg, Tapering

Hi everybody, I accidently switched my 1 mg tablets with 5 mg. As a result I'been taken
13 mg of prednisone instead of 5 mg. I'been tapering prednisone 1 mg in two weeks
prior to this. What do I do now? Switch back to 5 mg a day, or taper off 13 mg gradually? Thanks

If you've been taking it for less than 21 days, there night not be a need to taper, if it's been longer than that, I would suggest speaking to your doctor for an appropriate taper schedule, in light of your dosing error.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Prednisone as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, nervousness, and insomnia.
