If she was taking it for 21 days, or more, there could be some problems caused by stopping it suddenly, rather than tapering it. However, only her doctor can check this out and give you a definitive answer.
Typical side effects while taking a steroid, such as this, may include nausea, dizziness, headache, weight gain, acne and fluid retention, as listed by the FDA.
Is she on any other medications?
