Prednisolone 5mg 19 Weeks Pregnant

I'm 19 weeks pregnant. Had a sore throat and now I feel a drip almost to the back of my throat. The throat specialist advised since my cough is dry and he saw my left nasal passage slightly swollen I take 3 Predisolone 5mg tablets twice daily for 6 days. I don't really want to take drugs whilst pregnant so I can I start n stop this once I feel better before the dosage ends?

No definitive proof of harm to the baby has been proven, when a woman takes this while pregnant, but risk can't be ruled out, so it's placed in pregnancy category C and is recommend that it only be used during pregnancy if there are no alternatives available. But, if you do start it, you should finish all of it, as prescribed.

Did they have you try any other medications for this, such as an antibiotic or allergy tablets?

This can cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, weight changes and elevated heart rate.
