Pravastatin Dosing
UpdatedI have been taking 10MG of pravastatin without problems. Dr increased it to 20MG. Now I have several side effects. Could I take 10MG in AM and 10MG in PM and get the same benefit?

Hello, Olive! How are you?
Yes, that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. In many cases, medications such as this, are prescribed as a single dose to help ensure that someone remembers to take the full dose, people tend to be less compliant if they have to take multiple daily doses.
What types of side effects are you experiencing?
The FDA lists the typical ones as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches.
