Potassium Cl 20 Meq Sa Tab
Updatedi am prescribed potassium chloride extended release tablets, 10 mEq K. the instructions say not to lie down for 30 minutes. why is this?

The reason is because potassium tends to be very harsh, it usually increases stomach acid production and, if you lay down within half an hour, you may experience reflux which could cause damage to your esophagus.
