Why does my potassium chloride 10meq sa tab bottle say not to lie down for10 minutes after taking ?

That's due to the possibility of it causing some acid reflux, that might lead to esophageal erosion.

Potassium is very harsh on the stomach and will usually cause you to produce more stomach acid than usual and if you lay down within 10 minutes, it greatly increases the chances of reflux occurring.
