This is a prescription potassium supplement, so she should only be taking it if her doctor has instructed her to do so and then only in the prescribed amount each day.

Low potassium can be dangerous, since it is vital to heart function, as well as quite a few other body functions, but too much can be just as dangerous.

It also needs to be swallowed whole and preferably taken with a small meal, since it can be very irritating to the stomach.
