It shouldn't, the FDA usually warns that Potassium supplements can be harsh on the stomach, so they may cause nausea, stomach pain, and vomiting as side effects, thus it is recommended that they be taken with food, or a small snack.

Is there anything else I can help with? Are you on any other medications?
