In 2005 I had two disks removed and replacer with cadaver bone, then screws and rods were inserted and connected together to make area rigid. I am on 30mg of MS Contin three times per day, to control constant pain. Is this the norm out there ?

yes, unfortunately they can fix structures but the nerve damage can leave you with a life time of cronic pain..I had broken neck for 7rs.carried and delivered baby then finally got proper diagnosis(you would think being hit by car,smushed between donorcycle, and being tosses thru the air would have got a mri done..no Can.health care}got off all med.s for baby went insane...now back on everything i can get. wanted to see if you have tried gabapentin an antiseizer drug found to do wonders for nerve damage in the head, neck and shoulders pain by blocking nerve impulses also try something to relax nerves. the calmer the less shoulder tension....goog luck
