Possible Fake Yellow Hydrocodone

I filled the prescription as I have done for the last several years. Got a yellow tablet with 10 98 on one side and a V on the other. It does not work. I took 3 tablets in one hour (usual dose is one tablet) with no results. Could have been taking water. Label shows it to be from PAR P company. Is this fake or what?

Is the marking possibly 3601 V? If so, the tablet contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. NDC: 00603-3887



This is an opioid analgesic that carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

So no, it is not fake.

However, if you have been taking the same dose for years, your body may have become used to it, so it may not work as well for you, anymore. Have you informed your doctor? You might need to try a different medication.

It is not safe, however, to continue to take multiple tablets in hopes that it will work, since taking too much Acetaminophen, at once, can be toxic, and result in a possibly fatal overdose.
