Please N Thanks Norco
UpdatedHi & THANK you for your time!! Got a ?? of course, lol.. I had upper my teeth removed 2day--Dentist gave me Norco w/acet 5-325. . The bottle says hydroCODON & Acet, same #'s so I assumed it was a mistake When script was filled I po'd--I thought this was Vicodin 5's (lol ergo the 'narco response'.--Dentisit said it was going to be on a stronger med) or several meds, lortab, norco etc named the same but not??then I looked at the pills--lil whitish w/orange specks, the 'v' on 1 side & 3604 & a score line on other. is this indeed the same as hydrocoDONE? Jeeze w/all these names I'd go nutso if I were a pharmacist, or you, ama! Thank you for your help, I guess my mind will rest easier if I KNOW what strength/effect these are. Dentist didn't say, he took off, haha, neither did the RX store & reading those insert pill papers r 2 diff 2 deal with~ Again I thank you so very much!!

Hello, Lady Joy! How are you? Sorry about the dental issues and I am happy to clear up the confusion for you.
Yes, there are several name brands for a medication combination that contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, which is what the generics are called, but otherwise you may hear or see it referred to as Norco, Vicodin, Lortab or Lorcet.
Learn more Norco details here.
The main issue right now is that as of the end of the year, the ones that had the higher amount of Acetaminophen in them, such as 500mgs or 650mgs are no longer going to be available and those were usually the ones referred to as Lortab, Vicodin and Lorcet.
Norco was traditionally one that offered various doses of the Hydrocodone, but with only 325mgs of the Acetaminophen.
The one you've receive with the 3604 V on it contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of the Hydrocodone, so it would usually be considered a generic for Norco, but all names are pretty much used interchangeably now, since the generics are available.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Is there anything else I can help with?
