Hello, Im taking doxycycline for acne for 6 momths, but when i stoped the doxycycline the pimples comes again.i'm very scared that i have to take my lifelong.plz help me.
i'm planning for second baby also. my hubby said it is bad for pregnancy, My question is, if I get pregnant soon and stop the medication now, will my baby still be affected? if i take doxycycline the pimple control.if i stoped its comes again,i'dont know what to do plz help me.thanks

No, it cannot safely be taken during pregnancy and women are advised to stop taking it, before trying to get pregnant.
The FDA places it in pregnancy category D, which means there is definite risk of fetal harm.
Have you consulted your doctor? They may know of something else you can take for your ace that would be safer, while you're trying to get pregnant.
