To the " know it all," vicodin IS NOT THE SAME! As someone stated earlier vicodin is rarely used because of the amount of acetaminophen in it, which KILLS your liver when not taken as prescribed. Norco doesn't have as much acetaminophen in than vicodin. SO THEY ARE NOT THE SAME! Before you try to correct and try to make someone else look ignorant, DO YOUR RESEARCH, because u just made yourself look STUPID, ARROGANT, and well, like an ass! And I saw this and had to start typing IMMEDIATELY, so it's a possibility there are a lot of typos. But I'm an humble person, so I can admit I don't know it all. *hint, hint

In reference to the Nurse that knew so much about the pill and was wrong. I first hand know Rn's are not smart. I would and have trusted Cna's faster than a Rn. It does not take a rocket scientist to be a Rn. Now a doctor or lawyer yes. Not to jump off the subject of the white pill of course. I don't take advice from a Rn. After being released from the hospital i was giving wrong info about medication that was prescribed to me from the Dr by a Rn. After bringing it up to administration. All they could say is sorry. I spoke with the certified nursing Asst. who was able to tell me all about the med and how to take it. And her info came up to just what the Dr told me.

Let us consider the very real possibility that there is no daughter, no daughters car that it was found in, & that the "father" is actually a much younger person trying to hide the fact that he/she just wants to see what the pill is before they abuse it for a "high" ; just saying, you never know. -Father of 2 well behaved teenage daughters-

Vicoden, norco, loritab, etc. All the same. Hydrocodone. The only difference is the Tylenol. As for the high, i used to feel more from the blue loritab. Js

If you want to know about drugs talk to a pharmacist they know more than most dr's about drugs. I'm a pill popper. And if it's pain killer I know it and researched it. All I know is pills is the hardest thing I've ever had to conquer.
If your daughter has pills then talk to her. It's a road no one should take

I've met some very stupid nurses in my life time, but the fact that she is a nurse takes a lot of education. It doesn't make her right about the pills in question though. Just ask any pill head we know these things. PDR always close at hand long before Google came along.

Being a nurse most certainly makes her smarter...and aware of prescription meds because she's a nurse.... Why would you even post such a remark about her profession?

Let's not jump to conclusions about this young lady. Perhaps the pill belonged to a friend who lost it. Maybe it was the daughter's from an old prescription. There are all kinds of scenarios that could exist here.

Now that the pill has been found, if I were the parent, I would watch my child carefully for changes in attitude, mood, friends, grades, and activities. If those manifest, then it is time to speak to the child about the pill.

Otherwise, I would let it go.

As a nurse, she doesn't work with pills, she works with patients. If she works at a hospital, then any pills she does come into contact with r name brand not generic. If she doesn't work at a hospital then she doesn't come into contact with pills at all...she has no idea what different types of generic pills are on the market...so try not to be a know it all....makes u look ignorant

I would be more concerned about finding the pill in my child's car with no prescription than anything about a nurse, not a nurse, what they know, etc. Many young people use these prescription drugs to party, and I would confront my daughter with it, and have a very serious discussion. Much more important than somebody's so-called credentials.

For chronic pain, I believe that it is goid to rotate different manufacturers brands of norcos, if possible. It's more effective when your tolerance gets high from years of use
