pill is small, peach colored and triangle shaped but corners are cut off looking... like hexagon but different. W on one side 172 on the other

why do doctors give drugs that side affects worse then the pain-the drug is GABAPENTIN 600 MG

i looked up what you said.. cannot find a picture that matches this pill i have by the name of gabapentin. are you sure thats what it is?
