I located the pill you described to be Methylphenidate HCl.
Methylphenidate is a commonly prescribed psychostimulant and is indicated in the treatment of ADHD (attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and Narcolepsy, although off-label uses include treating lethargy, depression, neural insult and obesity.
Methylphenidate is noted as a drug of abuse, due to it's cocaine-like effects and addiction. It's potency should not be ignored. So also, please be sure to take a look at the abuse factors when overviewing Methylphenidate.
