i been using oxycodones for years now but i was prescribed a new one yesterday, i never seen. it is a small white round pill, with a v symbol on one side and a line on the other side with the numbers 4810. is this a oxycodone fast release pill? please help! It makes me feel a little diffrent but maybe it's me because i know it's diffrent. thanks. jen.

If the pill is a small, round, white pill and on one side it has a line going through the middle, and then on the top of the line it has the numbers 4810 and then on the bottom it has the square root symbol (almost like a check and a v put together) then i believe that it is an oxycodone 5 mg. That's what I have seen other ppl say as well. Ppl put numerous posts all saying the same thing, and since u already said u have been messing with oxycodones for years now, then it would appear that that is exactly what u got.

In regards to the original post, if there were no markings, other than the crosshatch scoreline, then it is doubtful that the tablet was an Oxycodone or any type of prescription product. Manufactured prescription products in the U.S. all have to have unique imprints to enable their identification in an emergency.

Thus, a tablet without markings is most likely some type of over the counter product, though there is also a small chance that it could be a foreign medication.



And yes, the tablet with the 4810 V marking is a 5mg Oxycodone tablet, but it is a regular release, not an immediate release formulation.

The immediate release Oxycodone, known by the brand name OxyIR, is only available in a capsule.

we now know what was given to my sister. it made her go crazy!!!!! literally. it was given to her by someone in the family to calm her down, but it didnt have that effect on her. she went nuts. im just glad we now know what it was. thanks

I have been taking oxycodone 30mg for years, last week my pharmacist substituted the generic oval blue #224 tablets instead of the smaller oxy 30mg oval blue pills with a M on one side & a line with the # 30 on the other side. The foreign #224 pills don't relieve pain like the oxy ir 30mg with the M. They don't have 30 mg of oxycodone hcl in them. I am taking them back to the Dr. &/or the pharmacy to get the ones that I know will relieve my pain. I called the pharmist at home after taking them for 2 days, & he said he couldn't get the pills i've been getting until January 30th, the #224 trash was all he could get. The pharmacy is a health mart franchise. To cut a long story short, avoid the blue oxycodone 30mg with #224 if you want to get pain relief. Public service announcement for oxy pain patients.
