Pharmacies That Will Fill Oxycodone In Fl Or Al

i have been on 30mg oxycodone for years been with the same doctor and never have had any problems getting them filled..i have been out for 2 days now and been all over to numerous pharmacies and places and they all keep sayin they dont have them in stock..which isnt helping me now to have to wait the two or three weeks til they r instock..so what pharmacy will have them now PLEASE help me

I'm sorry, but there is no database listing what pharmacy has any given medication in stock, such information would be very dynamic and virtually impossible to keep updated and accurate, if someone tried to create one.

The problem on the east coast right now is due to the shutdown of a major pharmaceutical distributor that serviced most of the larger chain stores. The DEA found them suspicious, because they were moving larger numbers of controlled substances each month than similarly sized distributors.

Thus, most pharmacies are having problems getting new stock in and the issue is likely to continue, until a new distributor takes over.

The only suggestion I can make is to try the smaller, mom & pop type pharmacies, since they may have a supply, because they likely did not use the large scale distributor that was shut down.

Does anyone else have any suggestions or ideas?

Although pharmacies might not carry the 30 mg Oxycodone, you can ask if they can do it in 15 mg pills insyead. Although they may need to order it in advance, the laws arent as strict on the lower doses. When the Dr. Re-writes the Rx ask him to do 2x the pills @ 15 mg instead of 30 mg to be taken 1-2. Pills up to 4 times a day as needed for pain. My 15 mgs just changed from covered to not but Sav-on drugs is the cheapest Ive found. Theyre almist half the cost of my insurance which used to be only a copay. Im still trying to understand why the price changed in mid-term.

Have you tried the hospital pharmacy your doctor is affiliated with? They almost always have these higher dose meds in stock. They're less likely to be (as) restricted on the amount they're allowed to disperse because people getting released from hospitals don't tend to be drug seekers (usually) and need to fill at the nearest pharmacy. University type hospitals are best. They always have my meds in stock, even when the mg changes. You can also try pharmacies closest to hospitals too. Good luck!
