side affects if put into a patient without cancer

Just to clear this up....

Dilaudid is not just a medication for cancer patients.

It contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, which is a very potent narcotic opiate that's used to relieve pain, so it can be used by anyone that's in need of relief for severe pain, whose doctor has prescribed it.

However, it will most likely cause some side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation, since it is an opiate.
