The name is actually an abbreviation of two drugs names, Perphenazine and Amitrriptyline, commonly sold under the brand name Etrafon.

This is an antipsychotic drug, which is sometimes used to treat other conditions, such as sleep disorders.

Some of the most common side effects include: drowsiness, weight gain and insulin resistance.
