Percocet-tramocet

I just had surgery on my throat yesterday. I was given percocet to take home from hospital(8 5/325s) and was prescribed tramacet. Am i able to over lap and take both or sshould I take the rest of percocet before beginning the tramacet? I do not take pills often therefore I am not to sure. I am still feeling a great deal of pain and took one percocet two hours ago.

No, you shouldn't overlap, since they both contain Acetaminophen and taking too much of it in a day can be fatally toxic.

The Percocet was probably given for the immediate pain for a day or two, then they would expect it to ease up as you start to heal, so the Tramacet should help.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
