Percocet Please Help With Withdraw

Thank you in advance - I am on 3 Percocet / 2 soma / 2 Xanax I am 1 week into my prescription. i stopped taking hysingla 2 months ago it did not agree with me and felt sick no desire to eat lost weight and was still in pain .i am so tired of pain pills could someone please advise me the proper way to get off without terrible withdraws? I have about 40 pills left of Percocet soma & Xanax those do take pain away but really I feel like it's been too long to be on Meds,or at least cut back.im a 54 yr old grandma wife of 35 yrs 3 kids and really want to make a change/ like maybe some exercise yoga or walks.i have 4 bulging disk fibro a cage in my neck . Anyone with advise on tapering off information would be greatly appricated. Thank you for your knowledge I would love to cut back or get off compleatly without getting so sick. thanks again!

Depends how many pills of each you're you have left. 3 percocet a day isn't much, what mg are they? I don't recommend trying to taper all 3 at once though.

Thank you waiting 4 the sun I have about 35 pills each left do you know the best schedule to come off them I greatly appreciate your advise??

Hi Christina,

I see you haven't received any further commentary regarding your question. My guess is that it would probably be best to work closely with a doctor on developing some sort of tapering schedule on a calendar that you can easily adhere to in order to gradually wean off the meds one by one (and not necessarily all at once - in agreement with what post #2 recommended)...

Although I can't comment on exactly how long it'll take, the process may be unique for each and every individual within their own set of circumstances. However, based on other patient reviews, my understanding is that the weaning process typically entails dividing up the remaining doses you have over a period of say for instance, several weeks (time frames may vary), incrementally taking less and/or periodically skipping doses...whichever method is recommended by your doctor... and even then you may find yourself making adjustments along the way, as there's no 'one size fits all'. I also agree that yoga, walks, and exercising in general can be a great way to keep yourself feeling secure along the way.

I wish I could be of more help, but I hope this can at least point you in the right direction. My heart goes out to you on your journey!
