It shouldn't matter what appears in your drug screening AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE PROPER PRESCRIPTIONS FOR ALL YOUR MEDICATIONS. It is illegal for your boss to take disciplinary actions against you if your prescriptions match your test. If your boss does take actions against you and you are legit with all your RX's then you have a legal matter on your hands. Contact your state/lawyer for more legal advice. Good luck to you.....

I have been taking oxicodone for 6 years10's and prescription says to take them 2 every hour as needed i went back to work after 47 days and was worried because my boss was messing with me and my back was hurting badly i took 2 perks at 3 am with other meds nabumetone, zanax, lamotrigine and gapapentin two 2 at 530 am. then 2 at 10 am i was asked to take a drug test the same day and took it at 1:55 pm. i drank 2 20 ounces of water and drank water at the whater fountoun all day will i get a reading of drug abues is it posible for me to pass for some odd reason please help me with this info as soon as possible i cannot stand my self my job is very important to me. thank u

Anyway, the half-life of Oxycodone (Percocet) is 3 - 4.5 hours. Now a lot of factors can increase this value (eg. if you suffer from renal failure, liver issues etc.) But assuming the worst, and let's say you have taken 20mg of Oxycodone. This means:
4.5 hours later - 10mg remaining
9 hrs later - 5mg remaining
13.5 hrs later - 2.5mg
18 hrs - 1.25mg
22.5 hrs - 0.625mg
27 hrs - 0.3125mg left
31.5 hours - 0.16mg left ----> by this point, you don't have to worry.

So all in all, to be on the safe side, keep this value at 36 hours but allow a buffer of upto 48 hours to be on the safe side since there are other factors to consider like your dosage and body-weight. Hope this helps.
