Percocet Dosage

I am on a road trip with my kids and husband I was just found out I have rheumatoid arthritus and am hurting bad i am taking 2 5/325 percocet every 6 hours I am having a real bad flare and am very swollen they ware off after 4-5 hours can I take them sooner then every 6 hours Im not driving or anything I am just sitting for a long time and it hurts worse when I get up dont wanna miss out on the fun

I have rheumatoid as well. No, you may NOT take more than directed. Talk to your doctor first, and be advised that it is very, very, very addictive and ruins lives.

I take 1 oxycod a day ( for last 2 month)but my doctor wants to prevent me to become dependent on it so he does not prescribe me anymore oxycod--
should I change Doctor-My pain is in the back and also in both shoulders I had a knee replacement 4 month ago with the same Dr.

Every 4 hours is the absolute earliest, no alcohol, acetominophen is very dangerous to your liver. And will absolutely blow out your liver taken with alcohol.

You could because thats the lowest milligram that percocet makes. But if you finish them sooner then your doctor is going to think that you have drug seekING behavior that's what all of these,or I should say some Dr's anyway. But if your hurting that bad you should call your doctor,and tell him of how much pain you are in. Then he may say it's okay to take more like 2 tablets every 8 hours. Instead of you just doing it on your own. Because if you just decided to take more then your precribed,you will run out alot faster! And when your doctor sees that you finished your prescription of percocet. He will probley not give you another one.
