Percocet Brand Vs Generic

Generic Percocet is weak, and having trouble finding brand, I'm a BK amputee. Over 20 yrs with severe nerve bundles on and off meds depending on my situation. Only prescribed 60 10mg/ 325 a month and not a day sooner. I understand the need to not to be over medicated very well. I am now left in pain often since there are days where only taking two pills daily is ridiculous. In my line of work I stand for 3+ hrs. at a time. I have had Percocet 30 mg w/ no APAP . Which I harder find and tougher to get prescribed, we are talking about quality of life and staying in the work force so I can pay my healthcare in the first place. Generics leave me taking more pills a day with worse results which damages liver no matter the amount. And Brand Percocet is not covered by co-pay. Do I find a Dr. That will prescribe 120 pill count of brand Percocet and try an out of state pharmacy? Please advise what will fix this. Thank you.

What would be the "trade" name of does the Dr. just need to write "trade" name?
As long as your Dr. Writes on the script that Trade name is medically
necessary.then your insurance company has to pay for it. FYI.. when pharmacuetical companies make generics for a drug they can be either 12% weaker or stronger then origanal trade name med and actually there are quite a few generics that are actually 12% stronger. I learned that in parmacology class at Nursing College.r
Hello, Peggy Sue! How are you?
You won't be able to get a prescription filled out of state, due to new regulations, most require that you and your doctor all be located within a certain radius of the pharmacy, so it's easier for them to verify the prescription's legitimacy.
Have you discussed the issue with your prescriber? If they write it as brand medically necessary, then a pharmacy would have to give you the name brand, rather than a generic.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
