took a perc 5 on wed around 1 pm. have a drug test friday morning, only tried 1and never use, safe?

It is somewhat doubtful, while there is no hard and fast rule, because there are many factors that come into play, such as your own metabolism and activity levels, more narcotics are detectable for approximately 4 days, after taking them. (This would be for urine testing.)

Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, so it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth.
