First off, there is no Percocet tablet, on the U.S. market, that contains 40mgs of Oxycodone.

I believe the tablet you are looking at has the marking M 595 and this is an old, discontinued 40mg time released Oxycodone tablet, a generic for Oxycontin.

Due to the risks of abuse and diversion, the generics are no longer being manufactured.

It is not a Percocet equivalent, because it is time released and doesn't contain Acetaminophen.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and dizziness.
