Percocet 10/325 Rhodes Pharma
UpdatedIf I find out that the supposed oxycodone I am taking is anything other than what it should be, I will be contacting a money hungry attorney for I shall be extremely wealthy.

I have the same issue with RP 10/325 - I went into withdrawals and took the Med back to Walmart pharmacy and the pharmacist said he's "had no other complaints and couldn't do anything for me". I now have Activas A 333 and they are taking awhile to kick in and I am just praying these awful feelings go away. Please let me know if you found out anything.
Have either of you considered getting the tablet's contents analyzed by a lab in order to determine how much oxycodone/acetaminophen is really in there v.s. what they put on the label? Part of me wonders if these drug companies might be skimpy with the active ingredients (as generics are rumored to fluctuate)... Another thought is that certain inert ingredients (binders/fillers) may be attributing to a lack of bioavailability.
Nevertheless, it would seem to me that your best bet is probably having your doctor specify a particular manufacturer's version of Percocet on the prescription, in order to get what you know already works; otherwise pharmacists will just give you whatever they typically order or have on the shelf at that time.
Hope you feel better soon!
Have you considered seeing a drug counselor or a methadone clinic? It seems to me that you're looking for a high and not just pain relief. Thanks. Hope you do well with your recovery.
How long has this been happening? I too was given a different type of med and dosage.
I’ve been on Percocet for two years. My pharmacy changed to 10 325 round pills with RP on the back. I feel like I’m going through withdrawal and I still have pain. I’m sweaty and feel like I have a fever. What the heck is going on?
These drug manufacturers create customers, not cures...
Re: Whatisthis (# 4)
It is a farce that Rhodes gets away with distributing these fake drugs! The best way to describe them is a consumer paying twenty bucks for a pound of crab legs and getting mock krab instead. It's not even close
Re: DsKitty702 (# 1)
DSKITTY702 - I would recommend IGNORING the post implying "you seem to be looking for a high"....he/she is probably NOT a chronic pain patient or they would KNOW that we DON'T feel high from our pain meds and they must be an ***** to make such an unfounded accusation!!
Every chronic pain patient I know, and even most Pain Doctors, understand that these meds DO NOT make you feel high if you are legitimately IN PAIN. These meds simply allow us to live with a lower level of pain; thereby allowing us to simply FUNCTION on a daily basis. Anyone stating otherwise, needs to EDUCATE themselves before they spout off with unfounded accusations.
Re: DsKitty702 (# 1)
DSKITTY702: The poster who advised you to return the medication to your Doctor is SPOT ON! If you are not getting relief, to the point that you are suffering withdrawal, your Dr. will be more inclined to write a prescription specifying "Name Brand" only, especially if you immediately return the unused portion of the prescription and your "pill count" is correct. Believe me... I have been a chronic pain patient for over 20 years.
Re: Kirstin (# 6)
KIRSTIN: You might want to say a prayer or two that you never end up in a serious car accident, or end up with a serious back problem....OR you may turn into a "customer" yourself! Again, another post to this site assuming chronic pain patients are all druggies looking for a fix....as if we CP patients need more people looking down their noses at us! AND here I thought Medschat was supposed to be a site for consumers to share their experiences, side effects, etc. of certain MEDICATIONS.
ATTENTION ALL POSTERS: Please.... I beg of you....before you hit send on that snarky post berating ANYONE for taking pain medication(s), have a little compassion....most CP patients I know personally have tried every other option available to them BEFORE they started taking pain meds. Are there quite a few "bad apples" in the bunch of CP patients? Yes. However, who amongst us is able to spot them based solely on a post to this forum? There are quite a few Pain Doctors who CAN'T spot them even with a full exam and imaging studies!
"There, but by the grace of God"..... No one....and I mean NO ONE chooses to be a chronic pain patient....AND no one, with a lick of sense, expects pain meds to be a cure! ...... that is just RIDICULOUS.
I go through this EVERY DAY!!
EXACTLY IF YOU ONLY KNEW HOW HARD IT IS AND WHAT IT TAKES JUST TO FUNCTION! THERE ARE DAYS THAT ARE DIFFICULT JUST TO TALK ON THE PHONE. I ALWAYS SAY THAT IT'S NOT THE MEDS KILLING ME BUT THE LIVING IN
Re: Elaine (# 5)
u are taking tylenol thats why your feeling that way u got scammed on that script goodlk
Re: DsKitty702 (# 1)
Dude, the percocet by Rhodes work just fine. They work just as good as the Mallinckrodt ones. I was skeptical cuz they are round but they handle my pain just fine. I actually like them better than the Dilaudid. I also have 10 mg oxycodone hcl without Tylenol and these handle my pain better.
Re: Sameoldbs (# 3)
Have you considered that you should keep ignorant rude comments that add no value to yourself?
Re: Elaine (# 5)
I was having the same problem with this brand of Percocet. I researched this and discovered that too many people were having the same problem. I spoke with the pharmacist who said that the fillers are different in the brand of Percocet. Therefore, one may have the bare minimum of Percocet versus another company having more with less filler content. I currently take Qualitest (yellow oblong pill) brand Percocet instead of the usual Rhodes Pharm Percocet. The pharmacies purchase brands based on cost and currently RP is cheapest. Some months. I have to shop around until I find a pharmacy with Qualitest. I hope this helps.
Re: David (# 2)
How would u find a lab and get them to do a test to see how much of each substance is in a single pill? I live in WV... any recommended labs? Thanks.
People that are pain free have an easier time judging everyone else. I had a septic knee that led to a knee replacement when I was 30 years old, and let me tell you how many people I've had to set straight because I "look healthy" or "look too young to be on CP treatment". The looks, the comments, I wear shorts all year long just so I can show my 2 foot incision scar on my leg. Even young soldiers coming home hurt, are coming home to be treated like criminals because addicts are overdosing on heroin. CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS ARE NOT HEROIN ADDICTS, AND IF YOU ARE UNABLE OR UNWILLING TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE, THEN I FEEL BAD FOR YOUR IGNORANCE. "PEOPLE THAT THINK THEY HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS, BUT KNOW NOTHING SUCK!!"
Re: Sissy (# 8)
Hi Sissy, I've had 'Back Surgery' years ago and started on Percocet #5/325, I rarely used them only when the pain got unbearable. My urine started to become dark so had a Liver Functions Test... Well my Liver Enzymes were elevated so my Doctor put me on pure OXYCODONE (zero Tylenol). Tylenol now comes with a Warning on the Box that it can cause Liver Damage. Tell your Doctor you are very concerned about the Tylenol added into your Percocet and ask for pure 'Oxycodone' 10 MG.
This Rhodes Pharma is putting out I don't know what but I am one very angry woman, I have that Sciatica Pain on my Right side and now my left Hip concentrated into my Thigh is unbearable with more pain. I had two recent MRI's and now have to go to an Oncology Specialist for my blood as all symptoms are pointing to 'Bone Marrow Cancer'. I definitely need some heavy hitter Doctor's who can up my dose from 10MG to 30MG, I was on 30 MG before but now I'm a Country Town where the Doc's are afraid to write for anything above 10 MG. I bet if these Doc's experienced a quarter of the Pain they would be on their knees begging.
I just want to be able to FUNCTION and as the other person said ignore any negativity concerning your Pain Meds. Us unfortunate people who truly need pain medication DO NOT FEEL HIGH OR GET A EUPHORIC FEELING FROM OUR PAIN MEDS. I'm so sick of hearing about all the thousands of people OVERDOSING on 'OXYCODONE' (they are Junkies) and now people with Chronic Debilitating Pain are being DENIED and SUFFERING. I will say Rhodes Pharma is putting garbage out and I plan on calling them and also a Malpractice Attorney. Don't ever be afraid to speak up to your Doctor, after all PAIN MEDS are for people who are truly in distress with horrible pain. All we want is to be able to FUNCTION and we cannot do that with debilitating pain. Good Luck Sissy and please get off the Tylenol, think of how many pills you take just Weekly and multiply 325 × 30 not to mention Monthly!!!
(For all taking Tylenol with their Percocets, this means you too.)
I'm just wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge of tolerance withdrawal. I'm 36 and have been a cp patient since age 9. Periodically my pain doc has had to taper and swap my meds so that I could normalize and get the same relief. When our bodies become dependent as we create more opioid receptors, more med is needed to satisfy that and without titration can lead to withdrawal even though we are taking them. If you can find the Ashton manual online it explains things clearer. That being said, I've just begun rps oxy after a three month off cycle down to t4's. By now I'm usually more opiate naive and this is my first experience with rhoades and I do notice a significant difference in the way of little to no pain relief. Not an enjoyable ideal with bone pain. I will give it another couple of days and see if I hit withdrawal and share what I can find out as my pain doctor is very helpful and knowledgeable. It truly is a shame that such stereotypes surrounding CPS exist but that's the world we live in today. Wishing the best of luck and relief to all.
Re: Sissy (# 8)
I to...jen N here had walmart switch manufactures.. Were out sent me to giant eagle.. Was like taking an air pill. Found myself taking more for pain. And yes...there us absolutely zero high to the meds. Allows quality of life. The more you squawk the more "they" think you are a indesireable druggie.
