Penicillin V And Sun Exposure

I have broke out after taking penicillin and being out in the sun. I have bumps all over my arms, chest and nose. Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible, most antibiotics can cause sun sensitivity as a side effect, according to FDA reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and diarrhea.

It is always best to have your doctor check to be sure, though.

Are you on any other medications?
