I have been subscibed prednisilone 25mg daily as i suffer with MS and in times of exteme pain i find it helps, the only side effect i experience is not being able to sleep, should i ask for a lower dose? and my GP has prescribed it for 2weeks and jthen stop!! but when i queried it with him stopping suddenly i was assured it wasn't a problem? i am confused, help.

It can be stopped suddenly, as long as you've not been on it for 3 weeks or more.
The FDA lists its other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, acne, weight gain and nervousness.
Even at a lower dose, it is known to cause insomnia, so if this dose if effective for you, you should probably stick with it.
