UpdatedIs it safe to give Dilaudid to patient who is on Levocarb 100/25, 12 pills daily and Levocarb CR 100/25, 6 pills daily?

Hello, Janie! How are you?
I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these medications, but the final decision is always up to the patient and their doctor.
The FDA classifies Dilaudid as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Are these the only medications they are on?
