I have been taking pantocid dsr everyday morning on an empty stomach half an hour before food for the last six months. Please tell me the side effects and what this medicine is for?

I have erosive fundal gastritis and my doctor prescribed me pantocid-dsr twice a day. How long should I continue treatment in order to heal my condition?

One doctor has prescribed me Pantocid-L and one has prescribed Pantocid-dsr. What is the difference between both of them?

my friend is suffering from Tubroclosis.Dr. prescribed the AKT FD,Benadon (40),Dexorange(1 tab daily) and Pantocid Dsr.
Kindly advise me Right Treatment is going on.How long pateint can take Pantocid Dsr.Any side Effect of These Medicine.

Yes, you rightly said. I also experienced Trifala bit harder on stomach if consumed with water. I observed better results if it is taken with full glass of lukewarm milk. I got even better results by trying Trifla powder mixed with 2 Isabgol in glass of water at bed time. Some readymix combinations are also available in market like TRIFGOL

I have been taking pantocid dsr since last 13 days. I still experience light chest pains plus a little difficult it swallowing. Doctor also gave me calcium.tab but i avoid cause its big one and difficult to swallow. I am 22 years. I lost 4.5 kgs last month. It maybe due to change in my diet too. Cause I stopped eating spicy , fried and sweet stuff. .. i have banana once a day...even papaya sometimes.. and i have dishes prepared from oatmeal most of the times in the evening.i also have soup of bottle gourd.(dudhi ) twice a day. All i am worried is about my chest pains. Which occurs anytime... even though i am on pantocid dsr for 13 days.....i went for ECG and blood tests for jaundice and they were normal... i also keep worry and get stress if something has happen to me....
Please any advices for me?.

I have been on Pantocid 40 for 1month. Dr. prescribed a further 3months. Chemist sent me Pantoloc, they said it is the same. Is it? I am taking it for gastritis also suffer from diverticulitis.

I take this tablet then reaction with me so I can not take this tablet and I suffering from migrain headache.

i have been operated for gallbladder stone recently ,dr advised me for pantocid dsr before meal.i am feeling very weak,sever-ring,cold etc.
i am expecting my period very soon,is it because of this.pl advise.

pantocid dsr is not so effective i am suffering from gastro duodent last 2 years and there is no side effect of this. but its not helps also in gastric so much

Am taking Ceruvin A for thinning of my blood, Losar 25 mg for BP, Amoryl M 1 mg for Blood sugar, Seroflo autohaler for breathing and due to my puffed stomach doctor has prescribed Pantodac DSR 40mg. Is this going to have any side effects in me taking Pajntodac DSR. Please advise urgently. Thank you

NOTHING HAPPENS ..............USE INSTEAD PANTAKIND DSR (Rs4.95/cap) .WHICH IS CHEAPER THAN PANTOCID DSR............

I suffer with FERD, ulcers and stomach gass. I have started taking pantocid. Is it harmfull to Kidney or Liver?

I was prescribed one tablet of Pantocid daily empty stomach. Iwas really happy with the response. I donot remmember how long I took the medicine. But within two months I lost short term memory. Total loss of cognition. I had all kinds of tests. Finally Dr Vinay Goel of AIIMS asked for blood test for Homocysteine which regired at 240 which sems to be near fatal. The simplest treatment he gave was injections of cobalamine and tablets of Folvite and today I am living normal life. Ido not know it it was a side effect of Pantocid or something else. My request to all taking such medication to change their food habits like
-Taking small amount of food at regular intervals.
-Avoid excessive intake of tea and coffee
- Take more of roughage
- consume more of fruits particularly pectinaceous e.g. Guava, Bel (Aegle marmelos)
- Avoid fried food.
- Do not use asringents like Harad present in TRIPHALA though Amla in it contains folic acid.
Instead Lactulose / Isabgol / Nature care are softer laxatives.
All this information is derived from experience. It is not authentic and is open to discussion. Kindly post a reply if you if you find anything wrong in what I have stated.
If youare an expert kindly let us know more about it.

Econorm is specifically for diarrhoea, for increased bowel movements. where as pantocid DSR is proton pump inhibitor.
