Pain Mediction Stronger Than Norco 10

I have seen a neurologist for over 10 yrs. I suffer with severe headaches and fibromyalgia. My Dr has tried/prescribed me a couple of different things over time. I can't take Lyrical, i had a bad reaction, and I'm having trouble getting Celebrex which was effective. Walmart has had my script for 2 mo. and keep saying they need Dr. authorization. But my Dr. office said it has been authorized. I've been taking Norco 10 2-3 times a day, occasionally more depending on the severity of my pain. I would like to know if there is something else he can prescribe for me that is a little stronger and is there a time released medication?

You need something for nerve pain and vicodin isn't going to help.

If the Celebrex helps and Wal-Mart is giving you hassles, then it might be a good idea to see if they can return your prescription, or obtain a new one from your doctor and take it to a different pharmacy.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation.

As to other stronger medications, there are several available that are stronger than the Norco and yes, there are time released ones, as well.

Some examples include Oxycontin, MS Contin, Opana ER and and Fentanyl.
