Pain Medicine Doctors

Hi. I've been looking for a dr who will prescribe pain medicine in Queens ny. My dr left his practice and since then all dr's, approximately 10, don't prescribe. I have many ailments and have been on Fentinol along with perks for Breakthrough. Many other meds as well. All these dr's seem to want to do now is shots and physical therapy or acupuncture. These dr's seem afraid to write scripts anymore. I'm almost out and will be going through severe withdrawal on top of the pain from my ailments. I have mri's and x-rays. Please if anyone knows of a doc still prescribing please let me know asap. Worried in NY

The same thing has happened to me. I have been disabled for 6 years been on Meds for 16 years They are weening me off and forcing me to get a pain pump even though I never once failed a drug panel or have been in trouble with the law. I'm now in the process of filing complaints with Medicare and the hospital which has treated me like a drug addict since the nightmare began. Apparently forcing a person to have surgery when the medications worked are against patient rights. I'm not confident anything will come of this. We are living in a new time where doctors are not only being harassed by the government but many come from socialist institutions as well. So all you people out their that voted for Obama and socialist medicine you have doomed yourself and you should pray that your dr giving you medicine doesn't retire or get arrested.
