Pain Medication Allergy S

I have two ruptured disk in my lower back and I have two curves in my spine very bad severe pain but I go to hospital they want to give me morphine but I'm allergic to morphine what else can they give they say there isn't anything else

Hello, Lulu! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain.

Of course there are other options, many hospitals actually prefer Dilaudid, now.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

However, they don't have to give you the Morphine, or anything else.

If you have severe pain, they'd prefer you to see a specialist regularly for proper treatment.

Do you have a PCP that could refer you to someone?

What type of allergic reaction do you have to the Morphine?
