Pain Management Humble Texas

I'm very upset about jerk doctors who are afraid to prescribe narcotics like Percocet 10mg. Other meds do not work yet some will offer morphine patches. Need help finding a doc to do so in humble, Texas. Please help before I am forced to look on the streets... anyone?

Hello, Daniel! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems that you've had.

However, doctors have no choice in the matter, they have to be cautious about prescribing such medications, if not, they risk losing their license to practice medicine, as well as fines and jail time. The patches are less frequently abused, so they are sometimes a safer alternative.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, since a general practice physician can no longer prescribe them.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
