AKT-4 kit is an anti-tuberculosis drug containing the following ingredients: ethambutol + isoniazid + pyrazinamide + rifampicin.
Based on my research, it sounds to me like every single active ingredient could be causing the type of pain she's describing...
- Ethambutol lists stomach pain as a side effect
- Isoniazid lists stomach pain or tenderness as a serious side effect
- Pyrazinamide lists upset stomach as a side effect
- Rifampicin lists stomach cramps; muscle weakness; pain in the arms, hands, feet, or legs; and joint pain or swelling as a serios side effect.
With that said, your best bet would probably be to talk with her doctor about switching over to another type of medication; hopefully one with less potential adverse effects.
