Pain Clinics Hickory Nc

I am detoxing off of methadone and ive talked with my counselor and since i have pain issues that im going to have to address because of me detoxing off of the methadone,she(counselor) told me to check out some pain clinics were they can monitor my med use,but i would really like to be sble to find a pain clinic that would maybe give me 10-20mg of methadone in pill form just for the pain instead of going back on any kind of pain medication. I just dont see the point in getting back on some random pain med after i just spent 4 years to stay off of them.???? im very confused and dont know what to do??? Can you help

Hi Amy,

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I don't know of any clinics to recommend, but I'll try to be of help in other ways.

What type of pain are you experiencing? Are you working with a doctor who can provide you with a tapering schedule?

There is no way to know for sure how much medication a clinic will provide (if any), so I would definitely research other options of pain management. Have you considered alternative therapies to treat your pain while detoxing? Alternative therapies can include acupuncture, aromatherapy, essential oils, juice fasting etc... I can provide more information about alternative therapies if you're interested. One thing I can recommend right now is the supplement activated charcoal. It is sometimes used by those trying to detox off of medication, or in cases of overdose.

Go to Dr ellisson in Morganton and tell him. He wrote methadone pills. I just came off of them... And he writes ya a month worth at a time, u just have to bring empty bottle back next Appt date. He accepts Medicaid and is taking new pts: 828-433-5700. It's cw ellisson in Morganton, nc.
