Is oxycontin and Percocet the same thing except without the tylenol

No, Raine, you are correct, both contain Oxycodone, but Percocet also contains Acetaminophen/Tylenol and Oxycontin just contains Oxycodone in a 12 hour time released formulation.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Yeah. It's usually extended release instead of the percocet, which is immediate release.
Not all the time but that's what I've seen.

Both medications contain oxycodone xtampza er is an extended release preparation so the frequency of use should be reduced.It is about 40% stronger quantifiably speaking.Hope that helps.Regards,Kenie

I got into 3 horrific car accidents and have a bone disease that is so painful...Myhips are shot...my knees my elbows my shins...i have severe neck and back problems...A doctor hsd me on 120 mgs of methadone and 10mg valium for pain...It did nothing...i found a doc who gave me 2 80mg oxycontins and 4 10/ 325 Percocets a day and it was the best relief ever....Now the foc i have will only prescribe suboxone for pain...im in agony...please any docs on long island or nyc...and the op oxys hurt my stomach so was switcjed to 40mg opanas....only other was mophine and fentanyl
