Had a TKR 8/11/15. Sent home with Norco then hydro codone acetaminophen 10-325. Worked a few days. Got really bad shin pain can't stand up. Then Dr gave me OxyContin 10. Time realease. Suppose take 1 tablet every 12 hours. Took 2 doses so far. At 5:00 pm then 5 am. Not working. Any suggestions

It may not be a strong enough dose to alleviate your pain. Have you informed your doctor? He may need to raise your dosage.
The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
