No, they aren't related and aren't used to treat the same things, at all.

Oxycontin is a time released formulation of the narcotic analgesic Oxycodone, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness and constipation.

However, Oxybutynin is an anticholinergic that's used to treat frequent urination and urinary incontinence. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, blurred vision and difficulty urinating.

I am experiencing moderate to extreme difficulty urinating on oxycontin (40mg Purdue original recipe) If I don't take it, then things return to normal. I am wondering what might be going on here.
