Oxycodone Vs Demoral

It's that time my pain manag. And I are getting togeather to change my meds I am currently on oxycodone 20mg 5 times a day. I was wondering about demoral. Thoughts I have cronic pain in my ankle and have have 5 surgeries to try to fix it with nonluck. Also what other long and short act meds should I look up that are stronger than what I am currently taking

Hello, Mtothej! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain.

Demerol isn't actually a good choice, because it's much weaker than Oxycodone. For each 20mgs you take of Oxycodone, you'd have to take 300mgs of Demerol to be equivalent.

There are higher doses of Oxycodone available, including the time released Oxycontin that's taken every 12 hours. There are also patches available that contain Fentanyl, which is the most potent narcotic currently available, the patch is time released and changed every 3 days.

Some short actings medications you might want to discuss with your doctor are Opana and Dilaudid.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Demoral is garbage they give it to women for cramps.and other things lost all my toes have had over 15 surgeries on foot and ankle the best thing I've found is instant release oxymorphone 30s or 40s do the trick
