It might not be superior for everyone, it really depends on the individual.

However, efficacy wise, Oxymorphone is twice as strong as Oxycodone, though this doesn't take into account medications such as Percocet that also contain Acetaminophen. So, you'd only need 2.5mgs of Oxymorphone to equal each 5mgs of Oxycodone.

Dilaudid, which contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone is even a tad stronger than that, because you only need 1.88mgs of it to equal each 5mgs of Oxycodone, once again, this doesn't take the Acetaminophen in Percocet into consideration.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
