Oxycodone Ir And Dilaudid And Fentanyl

I'm currently taking dilaudid 4mg & a fentanyl 25mg patch. All I can say is that it seems to me that the hydromorphone "dilaudid" isn't effective as my oxys Irs or my morphine Irs used to be. I was wondering if anyone thinks that taking oxy is better than dilaudid

I am on the same two meds fentanyl 25 & dilaudid 4 & the dilaudid just isn't helping me. I have so much BT pain it's unbearable some days. I was also checking on here if anyone else could answer the same question. " which Med is better than dilaudid and what strength should I be taking? I have taken oxycontin and oxy ir and morphine sulfate ir and Ms contin but never with fentanyl patches. I'm going to be speaking with my Dr tomorrow and I desperatly need some advice. Please help!!

There is no one medication that anyone can say is better than another, because what works well for them may not work well for you and vice-versa. It's really a matter of trial and error to find out what works best for you to alleviate your pain.

The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth.

What suggestion has your doctor made?

Opana (oxymophone)30mg er are way better than dilauid (hydromorophone). I was on those for a while and had no luck but the op ers are great. The ones with the made by Activist. Good luck finding the right regimen.
