I ran out of oxycodone will Percocet replace the oxycodone

Hi Barbara,

The Percocet will not be identical to Oxycodone, because it also contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen as well. More over, a closer comparison would also depend on what dose of Oxycodone you were taking, since the maximum amount of Oxycodone that they put in Percocet is 10mgs.

Are you getting Percocet from the same doctor who wrote your script for Oxycodone? If so, he/she should be able to help you determine what amount you should be taking in order to provide adequate pain relief.
