Oxycodone Acetaminophen 5 325mg Does It Contain Aspirin

I would like to know if aspirin is in oxycodone. My husband has back pain and I have oxycodone/acetaminophen5-325 I use for arthritic pain. He is allergic to aspirin. Could he take one of these pills?

Hi Betty,

When post #1 mentioned "no this is not aspirin, it is the same as Tylenol", they weren't exactly clear on what "this" or "it" was supposed to be referring to. So just to reiterate, there is no Aspirin in Oxycodone.

Oxycodone is quite simply Oxycodone by itself....

Oxycodone + Acetaminophen on the other hand, is a different combination med (also known as Percocet), which does not contain any Aspirin either...

And to answer your question about sharing your pills with your husband, my answer would be no, because it is illegal to share prescription drugs with anyone and you could go to jail if (god forbid) something ever happened as a result. It sounds like your husband may have to see a doctor for his own RX just to be on the safe side (legally).

First off its your choice to share your pain meds. But if your husband is in that much pain he needs to be seen to get prescribed the right dose for him. It's also illegal so if your husband still works and they do random lab work it will show up in his urine and he will have to provide proof that he has his own script for a narcotic.
